Just a really random post. I was rewatching this week's episode of 90210 just now, and I realised that Liam and Annie slept together in Dixon's (Annie's brother) bed. Ewww. Gross.

Anyway, I like Jessica Lowndes more and more. :). Even if her character is acting like a complete idiot in the last few episodes.

Last of many

I know that I have been complaining a lot about exams recently, but that blog post shall be the last one where I will do so for a long time... Or at least I hope so.

I have a last exam this coming Tuesday and I decided to give up on it Saturday night. I don't know a single thing, and really really hate accounting. I can sit blankly in front of my notes for more that half an hour. I reached a point where I don't even feel guilty about it anymore.

So I decided that in 2011 I shall take a year off studying and figure out what I really want to do...

Stress reliever

Today I think that I figured out why I used to be so chubby in Perth and slimmer in Mauritius.

It's because of exam stress.

I'm having exams in a couple of days and have started to study a day ago, and since this morning I'm having these obsessive cravings about chocolate and various junk food such as shapes, or potato chips. I even ate instant noodles for lunch. Which hasn't happened in ages now.

No wonder I used to be such a chocoholic in Perth, having to deal with mid sems, finals and assignments.

Did you ever feel the same?

Since some time now I can't seem to get used to the image of me that the mirror is reflecting. Even time I catch a glimpse of myself I'm a bit surprised and don't really recognise myself. I still have the mental image of myself at around 15 and expect to see that person in the mirror. Does the mirror tell the truth?

I think that I am going CRAZY!!!

Life is full is regrets. Now the thing is, are we smart enough to turn them into strengths? Hope that I am.

Here goes November

It's nearly the end of November, this month went by so fast. I'm amazed by how fast time goes by... I seriously need to get moving, or I'm gonna be old before I get anything done... :s.

French Fries and Milkshake

Lately I have a lot of cravings for junk food. Specially french fries and milk shakes, my new addictions. But surprising I am still thinner than I used to be in Perth. I seriously think that the water in Perth has the special ability to make me fat. Haha.

Just need to complain

Some People are just plainly irritating, walking as if the street belongs to them. They either walk in the middle of the street at a super slow pace, or walk in groups blocking the way of people behind them, or smoking and puffing the smoke in other people's face. Specially Mauritians... -.-

Thank god it's Friday

This week was a pretty good one for Mauritius. We had two public holidays. Tuesday was to celebrate the arrival of indentured laborers in Mauritius and Friday was Deepavali (or divali as we call it in Mauritius). This Friday I went to the beach with some friends, then we headed to a bar at night. I obviously needed the rest of the whole weekend to rest. haha.

Are dog days over?

Today I am kind of understanding what's going on in my accounting units. Have the accounting gods finally decided to be good to me? Let's hope so... :)

Sugar Sugar

Last night I stayed at my grandma' s place. My aunt was making some flowers with some kind of sugar paste to decorate cakes. So she taught me how to do it. It's really fun but not easy at all. I only did 3 or 4 flowers. Haha.

Lazy Sunday

Last Sunday I went to a barbecue in a hunting ground. Was good, just did nothing and eat. Everything that I like. :D . Haha. There was even a tea plantation on the way there. :) .

La maison du rhum=The house of rum

A while ago I visited a small rum factory. They use sugarcane juice and not molasses (which is a by-product of the sugarcane when manufacturing sugar), therefore giving a rum of much better quality.

The 1st picture is the 18th step, the evaporation, the angel's share as they call it, so cute. :) .

The 2nd picture are barrels of 7 years old rum. Apparently a bottle of that is worth as much as a bottle champagne...

The 3rd on is a bottle of the vanilla rum with a real vanilla bean inside (cultivated by the factory itself). Ok the bottle is a bit empty... :p . There is also coffee rum, spice rum and of course white rum..

I'm slowly getting used to the working life. Today, I didn't get back home tired. :) .

On my first day I didn't do anything but I came back home completely dead. Lol.

Hehe. My brother finally changed our router, which means a way better internet speed. I'm so happy. :D.

These are my new addiction. Kinder Joys. I love everything about them. The chocolate and the toys. :) .

Newton the dingo

Last Tuesday I lost my crazy dog. Or so I thought. I was feeling a bit sad. Then on Friday afternoon, when I came back home with my parents we saw him waiting for us in its kennel. Haha. It found our gardener and followed him back home. -.- .


Don't you think that it looks like a Dingo, those Australian wild dogs? Even though I think that Dingos are actually cuter... haha

Completely lost

Recently things don't work out like they were meant to, and I don't really like it. I like to plan things ahead and don't like it when I don't know where I am heading. :'( .

Last night I received a strange phone call from an unknown number. The girl who called was crying and I couldn't understand what she was saying. She called me twice and both times hung up pretty quickly. I tried calling her back at 2 different times but got no answer.

So I spent the whole night imagining various senarios about what could have happened. Some of my friends were seriously not helping, like suggesting that she could have been kidnapped... :/ .

Remember that I was complaining about bad luck?

Well, on Wednesday I woke up not feeling very well, and spilled some hot tea on myself. At around noon, I was chatting to with a very good friend of mine and I told her that I was going to take a shower to get rid of the negative energy. And guess what??? The breaker in bathroom caught on fire while I was showering, but luckily everything is ok, and not much damage was done.

Somehow since then everything seems to be going ok. :) . After all, maybe I did get rid of the negative energy... *crossing fingers*

Some days we are meant to stay at home. Today was one of those... I got a crappy bus to go the city (was old and stinky). Then I nearly ran over someone while driving, and my bus broke down while I was on my way back home...

Unemployed graduate

Finally being unemployed is not that bad. I spend the whole weekend just lying around at the beach and eating. Awesome, I really can't complain about life nowadays... ^^

Graduation

I totally forgot, yesterday was supposed to be the big day, that is my graduation day.

Today I skipped my accounting tuition to go eat Dim Sum and spend a whole weekend at the beach instead. HA I'd much rather do that than listen to someone talking about taxes and depreciation! :D

Rainbows

In my last post I have been complaining about how I needed some luck. So I hope that rainbows are signs of good luck, coz I keep seeing some. :)

I need some luck

My bad luck is not over. :( . Last night my notebook' s adapter stopped working. When I called the dealer this morning they said that they had none is stock and needed to order it, and that it would take 1 MONTH!!!!! Seriously, I have to time to forget how to use my pc by then!!! :( .
Then my watch also stopped working today. Might just be a battery problem, but still.... why????
And to finish (I hope so), my driving instructor canceled today when I was already in the city, and it was raining heavily.

Thus I really think that I' m cursed!!!! :'( .

This evil thing that won' t let me sleep

Winter is sugar cane harvest time in Mauritius, and this morning the field next to my house was being harvested. Thus the big machines making a lot of noises and disturbing my peaceful sleep. This picture has been taken from my window.

My webcam just happens to work again by magic. :) . Yeahhh. Hope it says that way...

Definitively not an IT geek

A few days ago I attempted to clean up the programs on my laptop coz it was too slow. Without knowing it I deleted my webcam' s software. I realised it yesterday when my friend wanted to do a webcam conversation. I tried to reinstall the software failed. Then I saw something called restore factory settings and clicked on it. It erased everything on my C drive, and I still don' t have my webcam' s software!!! GREAT!

Hiking

Today I went hiking in some place that I've never been to before and I probably won't go there again. The view wasn't really worth the pain. lol. 4 hours plus of walking and most of the time in a mosquito infested forest. Anyway here is a picture of 'mare d'australia'.

Finally unpacking

Yeah it's been 1 week and a half since I came back and I haven't unpacked yet.
So today I decided that it was my deadline and attempted to empty my huge luggages. (I'm nearly done)
When opening my closet I found my 2 favourite pair of jeans that didn't fit me anymore. But, I still wanted to try the on; and to my surprise one of them fits perfectly, but the other would barely close. Anyway, that made my day, and now i'm determined to lose a few kgs to wear the other one too... :)

Back to Mauritius

1st Mauritian post.

Ok, I know that haven't updated for a while, but I've been very lazy since I came back.
I stayed at home for 4 days in a row, until I had the courage to step outside. Then went out for 5 days in a row, and now i'm dead.

I will slowly post some pics. (coz i'm lazy. haha) ^^
Anyway I went to the beach yesterday and here are a few pics.

It's time to say goodbye

I'm leaving Perth tonight. It just feels so weird to the point that I can't sleep.I think that part of me is going to miss Perth for sure, specially all the wonderful friends that I made here. It's never goodbye, it's see you again, right? :)

Back to Perth

I'm back!

My trip to Sydney and Melbourne was pretty awesome. :) . Both cities are different, or at least they feel different to me. Maybe that's because the Sydney part of my trip was pretty busy with few hours of sleep; it was so cool to go somewhere with nothing planed ahead and just go with the flow. Melbourne was food, shopping and relaxation. Couldn't ask for anything better.

One of my biggest regret about leaving Australia is not having been able to assist to a concert of Kylie Minogue. I know that this is very random. Lol.

Specially that her new album, aphrodite, is coming out mid of July and that apparently she is coming back to Australia end of July makes me even more sad. :(

When I switched on the tv this morning, I saw Australia's now ex-prime minister, Kevin Rudd give his goodbye speech; and I wondered what the heck happened. I have to admit that I don't like politics very much, but I still wanted to know what happened, because I had no clue that such a thing was about to happen. I can't wait for the fall in the US. For all my favourite tv shows to resume and new ones to start. I just saw the trailer for a new tv show, hellcats. It kind of looked like bring it on. I'm so impatient, coz currently there is nothing to watch. :(

Today I went to freo with mabel to watch shrek forever after in 3D. It was a very relaxing movie. :) . But nothing too fantastic about it.

Random, I think I slept too much in the past few months, I seem not to be able to sleep anymore.

Sleepover

I just came back home from a sleepover at a friend's place. It was so fun talking all night about random stuffs. I miss living with girls and just joke around and talk about silly stuffs.

''Freedom''

I think that I dreamt about this moment for my whole life. When I was a little girl I thought that I always be studying, then when I grew a little older I realised that it would end with uni. Since then I have been waiting for my last day of uni. And here we are now.... (Well hopefully, crossing fingers really really tight)

But at the same time it means the beginning of a true adult life, that is, working and all the responsibilities which go with it. When I was younger I never realised all that, now that I'm nearly there i'm not looking forward to it that much...

OMG I'm feeling so excited and happy. And I should not!!!! I still have 1 more paper tomorrow afternoon, but I feel as if exams are over; and thus behaving like such. BAD BAD BAD.... But still happy happy and feel like jumping up and down. haha

I miss watching Disney Channel. I really really do. I miss turning the tv on, sit on the couch and let the little kid in me have fun and laugh at stupid jokes.

I refuse to get an MC as I don't want any differed exam, coz this could mess with my July holiday plans.... :p . It really sucks to be me!!! Anyway my next paper is not for another week, so I really hope that I will feel better by then.

Just came back from seeing Letters to Juliet with Charlene. It is such a nice and relaxing movie. I was pleasantly surprised by the movie as some parts were unexpectedly funny; keeping it from being boring. It just takes you in and makes you want to believe that true loves really exists... Just what I needed to keep me motivated to study for the coming exams.

I just received the saddest news ever. My dog died this afternoon, after being hit by my brother's car last Sunday. She was the sweetest dog ever. I was really hoping that I could see her when I will go back home in 2 months; unfortunately fate decided otherwise.

Hope that you are happy in dog's heaven cutie pie. That you can eat, sleep and play as much as you want... :)

Ugly Betty

I'm so sad. I just watched the last episode of Ugly Betty without realising it. The producers decided to put an end to the show as there has been a drop in ratings. Unfortunately the ending was not really satisfying although it was a really nice episode. The ending was kind of a happy one, but with a lot of possibilities. I guess they made it that way so that everyone can choose their own ending...

These past few days I'm a little stessed out by my coming exam on Monday, so I was studying at the bus stop. ( I know that it may sound geeky, but it's one of the rare times that I can allocate to study. lol). And I had the best bus driver ever. I was sitting at the bus and didn't realise that the bus was coming and this kind bus driver actually saw me and stopped. :) . This changes from the stupid ones who wouldn't even wait for you even if they you running to catch the bus. Wish that all the bus drivers could be that nice... ^^

Bye Bye Supafest

I am hating being in Perth all over again. I was so excited about going to the supafest, which featured akon, jay sean and pitbull, just to name a few. But, I've got a stupid 9.30am exam the next day. So bye bye supafest. :( .

In an attempt to cheer myself up I started looking for other interesting events. I found that the fray were coming to Australia again, BUT not to Perth...

Consequences

I reckon that everyday you learn something. I guess that recently god wants me to learn that I have the assume the consequences of my acts, but it's not that easy. Like not doing something today will get back at me someday, and probably sooner than I think. Or worst, doing things that I might regret for my whole life. Damn, it's hard to grow up. :(

Alice in Wonderland

Today, after uni I wasn't in the mood to do anything, not even go home and nap. So I decided to go to watch Alice in Wonderland. That's something that I wanted to do since a long time. Well, it was quite entertaining, but not the best movie i've ever seen. I was feeling a little bored half way (maybe it's due to my lack of ability to focus). haha .

Anyway, the next movie that I want to see is letters to Juliet. :)

Quiet saturday night

This is the first Saturday night that i am actually at home since 5 weeks. It feels kind of nice :).

This week has been pretty exhasuting, both physically and mentally (The only bright side was eating Lollipops. Lol. But hope that i won't regret my candy overload later). So tonight I shall go to bed early after such a tiring week.

This weekend I went to my collegue's birthday. It was a rather crazy party as the theme was pimp and hoes... haha. But it was fun. :) .

1st study break 2010

I am finally updating my blog after what feels like a million of years. Well, it probably is... haha. I've been really busy recently, with uni and work.

This week is the study break, and I feel kind of weird having some 'free' time. I find it rather stressing... :s . I find myself always thinking about stuffs to do, and places to go. Is it because I grew so use to be busy these past few weeks that I don't know how to just relax and stay at home..?

Shopping Fever Is Back!!!

God please, could I wake up tomorrow morning and see my bank account credit with a few extra thousands for no apparent reason?

Gosh I went to Garden city this afternoon for about only and hour and a half, and I managed to buy an ipod nano, a dress and a lipstick. :s . And I saw a few other stuffs that I also wanted but had to stop myself from buying them...

Is this because I didn't shop since I came back from Singapore? Who knows? I didn't even know that I wanted to shop so much until I started buying. And the other bad things is that I went only in Myer, Dotti and Priceline. 3 shops can generate so many wants...

Ok just a quick blog update, before a dear friend of mine (Saadiah)reminds me to write something. :p .lol

So I haven't been doing much stuffs lately, mostly sleeping and watching some crap tv. Oh well, I guess that the definition of holidays for me; relax and do nothing. :) .

On Thursday night, after work I was bored while waiting for my dinner to cook in the oven, so I decided to bake muffins. They tasted pretty good. ^^

Where are people when we need them?

It's been insanely hot since yesterday; the temperature reached 42.9 yesterday and 42.7 today.

Although I usually don't really like ice cream I found myself craving for some last night. Unfortunately the nearest supermarket was already closed and all the ice cream shops were too far away. So I decided to wait for the next day, hoping that the ice cream van would drive past. ( Coz it's seriously too hot for me to even consider venturing outside the house)

But it never did!!!! Arghhh. I seriously hate this ice cream van. Lol. Always driving past my window on cold winter days and disturbing me with its creepy music during my naps. But when summer comes I've got no clue of where it disappeared to... Where are people when you need them?

Korean tea

Today I went to the new Korean store in winthrop village. There weren't many interesting stuffs there apart from the usual noodles, drinks and snacks...

The only thing that caught my eyes was this brown rice green tea. ( Dong Suh Brown Rice Green Tea). Having never tasted or even heard about it, I decided to give it a try.

The tea's first impression, that is, its smell was not very convincing, as it smells more like food that the teas I'm usually used to. It doesn't really have the refreshing and invigorating fragrance that I usually appreciate in tea; the rice smell being too strong.

The colour is a normal green tea colour, that is pale yellowish.

And finally the taste... It does taste nice, with just a hint of rice flavour, although I can't really distinguish the green tea savour.

The verdict is that it's not one of the favourite teas, but definitively drinkable. Lol. This green tea flavour is more suited for a cold winter night. :)

2010 shall not be my lazy year

Alright I know i didn't post anything for ages... I will just pretend that i wasn't lazy, but just very busy those past few weeks.

So just a brief outline of what's been going on in my head and life recently.

1) Been on holidays to singapore, vietnam and malaysia. It was just awesome. :) . Although I didn't really find anything interesting in KL. (Sorry if anyone from malaysia is reading this. But oh well, everyone has the right to have their own opinion)

2) Come back to perth and look for a new place. That one was quite stressful and tiring. I had to call a few places and go and check them. Which required me to walk in the hot sun of perth! :'( . Sniffff.

3) Deal with my currently landlord and his daily visits. (Just want to kick him somewhere really specific so that he stops coming)

4) Meet up with some friends that i haven't seen in ages. :) . That one was just pure fun ^^

By the way, i found a new place and just can't wait to start moving. The only downside is that i won't be living with my friends anymore. :'( . Now i'm crossing my fingers to get nice new housemates. :)
